2 Love Notes:
As I happen to be in Paris now, and the weather finally warmed up, I had a picnic with friends last night at La Villette (and saw My Own Private Idaho on the big screen for free). On my way over I bought a few if the best baguette from Grenier a Pain on rue des Abbesses. It isvery yummy, but I also suggest going to Coquelicot on rue des Abbesses and getting the Reine or the Picola, and to the Levain D'Antan on rue des Abbesses at the top of rue Houdon for the Pain au Levain (my very favorite ever, with salted butter) or the baguette D'Antan. Both of these bakeries, in my opinion, are equally as delicious (and have the advantage of shorter lines!). I live right around the corner, when in Paris, and am spoiled by the amazing bread that surrounds me! Bon appetit. -Erica
